Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the boxing community shared sympathy for the star in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
