This young athlete boasts impressive online following
The young golfer will have plenty of prominent supporters when she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates multiple international courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa practically advised me to play and have fun," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in just three tournaments recently and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
But she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better human being. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that her participation exposes the sport to different demographics, specifically reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer boasts substantial online presence and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle brand.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
