The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
